I refervto my letter of the 23rd September, 1943 giving the names or seven candidates for the appointments of Sub-Inspectors of Police in Hong Kong and now forward to you the names of two further candidates to fill the existing vacancies :-

1) 1363 2/Sgt. Wilson K.

Address: c/o "The Node", Codicote. Hitchin. Herts. Age: 25. Secondary school education. Enlisted 22-8-42. Promoted 2/Sgt. 1-5-47.

Passed Aroficiency Pay examination and qualifying examinations in Arabic and liebrew. Employed on C.I.D. Commended once for good police work.

2) 2957 2/ Sgt. Devereaux A.J.

Address: c/o "The Node", Codicote, itchin. Herts. Age: 29. Enlisted 1-5-41. Promoted 2/Sgt. 1-5-47. Passed qualifying Arabic examination and awarded also, a pass in the French language. Highly commended on one occasion for good police work.

I would point out that both of these men are at present employed at the Depot but they should be available, if selected, to take up the appointments in the near

future.
